This limited edition silk twill scarf, Aachen: Reflections II Silk Story Scarf, is designed by artist and storyteller, Scottie Kersta-Wilson of ImageDiary, based in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago.
The image on this silk twill scarf is taken from a photograph of a story fountain in Aachen Germany. Stone, child-like characters surround this soothing pool of water. If you look closely, you can almost see them through the swirling water. Aachen is also the repository of Charlemagne's remains and the scene of German coronations. WWII battlefields still contain foxholes and bullet shells. You can retrace the steps of soldiers who fought the Battle of Hurtgen Forest and marvel at the ability to move men and materiels on the winding and narrow pathways.
This is a limited edition of 15, 100% silk twill scarf.
Approximately 40 x 40 inches.
Due to the handcrafted process and inherent nature of the materials used, slight variations in color might be visible from the listed photos. A "story card" accompanies each scarf.
